Why We Do Not Offer Phone Ordering (and How We Still Support You Properly)

There is a recurring assumption in custom clothing that placing an order over the phone is somehow simpler, more direct, or more reassuring. It feels immediate. It feels personal. In practice, it introduces more risk than it removes.

We do not process orders over the phone.

That decision is not about limiting access. It is about protecting clarity. Custom clothing is not a transactional purchase. Every order involves artwork interpretation, colour confirmation, quantities, sizing breakdowns, timelines and production sequencing. Those elements interact. When something is agreed verbally, it is rarely captured with the precision manufacturing requires.

A phone conversation can create momentum, but it can also create ambiguity. People remember discussions differently. Committees change members. Emails get forwarded. Weeks pass between approval and production. What felt clear in the moment becomes less certain once the garment is in transit and expectations are fixed.

Our system is designed so that specifications are visible, shareable and documented before production begins. Pricing is transparent. Designs can be reviewed internally. Sizes are confirmed formally. Approval becomes a controlled handover rather than a casual green light. That structure is not bureaucracy. It is protection, particularly for group orders where several people are involved in the decision.

That does not mean we avoid conversation. We regularly speak with clients when it helps move a project forward. If someone prefers to talk something through, we are happy to arrange a call by phone or video, and for larger programmes we will meet in person where appropriate. The difference is that those conversations support the documented process. They do not replace it.

Custom clothing works best when it is organised before it is manufactured. Once production begins, clarity matters more than convenience. Removing phone ordering was simply one way of ensuring that what is agreed is what is delivered.
