Custom Golf Trip Shirts From Your Own Design

A customer recently got in touch with a simple brief - “Hi, I am trying to design shirts for a golf tournament. I am attaching my idea for a design.” - that is and was enough to get started!

The job was for 22 shirts for a golf holiday, built around a Hakuba Open design. Not a huge corporate order, not a thousand-piece campaign, just a group of likely lads who wanted something properly custom for the trip. But the process still matters.

A design like this cannot just be dropped onto a shirt and hoped for the best. The artwork needs to be cleaned up, prepared for print, scaled correctly and mapped onto the garment so it works across the front, back, sleeves, collar and button placket.

That is where a lot of the unglamorous work happens. We check how the artwork sits on the body, how it lines up across the front opening, where the key elements land, and whether the finished shirt will look intentional once it is made.

Because a great idea can still become a bad shirt if the production artwork is rushed.

Once the design was approved, we prepared the final production artwork. This is the file the factory actually works from, with the design arranged across the individual shirt panels.

It is not the most glamorous part of custom clothing, but it is one of the most important. This is what helps the finished shirts look like a proper piece of kit, rather than a nice image awkwardly printed onto fabric.

The order was for 22 shirts, but we treat the details the same way whether it is 22 pieces for a golf trip or 1,000+ pieces for a larger campaign: careful artwork, clear proofing, proper production and realistic delivery planning.

For bold, all-over printed designs like this, start with our custom Hawaiian shirts.

For golf days, tournaments and club events where you want a more technical sportswear feel, our custom performance golf polos are another good option.

Got a special project, group trip or “can this become a shirt?” idea?

We’ll help make it wearable.
